Gedik Welding Technology has been offering its complete solutions in welding technologies and products such as wires, electrodes and machines to its expanding domestic for almost half a century economy and recently has started to offer welding automation, and robotic applications parallel to developing technology in this field. In the summer of 2008, to convene the demand and offer quality solutions in the robotic solutions and automation systems, Gedik Welding Technology signed the "Exclusive Distributorship" agreement with a Japanese firm "OTC-Daihen Robotic & Welding", which is also the leader in the welding technology in Japan.

With the agreement, Gedik Welding Technology has all rights and privileges of distributing OTC branded robots and welding machines. The robots are widely used for welding, material handling and painting in robotic industry.

OTC was founded in Osaka, Japan to produce transformers. In 1934, the company produced its first welding machine and in May, 1980, OTC manufactured its first arc welding robot. In 1982, OTC opened a new factory that only produces welding robots.
